New Identity in Christ

Fear is rooted in self-focus, usually about the future. Condemnation is also self-focus, but usually on our past. If you are a believer and experience fear and condemnation you are actually focused on who you used to be before you were born-again. You are looking at the wrong person – a case of mistaken identity. We need to renew our minds to who we really are. When we do that healing of the body will follow!

Are you in a constant state of sin-consciousness? If so, you are believing a lie! If you have received Jesus as your Savior, you have been completely and forever forgiven and made righteous, through Jesus’ blood sacrifice! Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death. (Romans 8:1-2 AMP) You ARE worthy of God’s love and His forgiveness and His healing … not because of anything you’ve done. Not because of anything you’ve earned. But because of the shed blood of the Lamb of God, and His blood poured out in love for you!

This is a powerful message of truth about the power and authority we have been commissioned with as children of God!

We live in union with Christ, the anointed one, and His anointing! We have been commissioned with His authority, and empowered with His miracle working power, to overcome all the works of the enemy, and to advance the kingdom of God!

We are each a masterpiece in God’s creation! He has good plans, paths, and a purpose for each of us. Jeremiah 29:11 says: “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” God is a good Father, and He wants the best for His children. He wants us well! It is so very crucial to live a surrendered lifestyle – placing ourselves in the hands of our Master, and giving Jesus Lordship over every facet of our life!

As born again children of God, we have been REDEEMED from sin, its power over us, and its penalty. We’ve also been redeemed from the curse of the law that was directly connected to our sin! (Galatians 3:13) Sickness was part of the curse that we’ve been redeemed from! Knowing this truth sets you free!
